Faith Baptist Church

This church expansion for Faith Baptist Church in Atascadero was designed to provide the congregation with a new sanctuary and flexible spaces supporting worship, fellowship, education, recreation, and ministry activities. The addition includes a dedicated sanctuary on the main level, a multi-purpose room below, and staff offices along the perimeter, bringing several important church functions together within an efficient and thoughtfully organized facility.

The sanctuary features a raised platform, generous seating capacity, high ceilings, and carefully positioned windows that introduce natural light while maintaining a focused worship environment. The lower-level multi-purpose room provides an adaptable setting for fellowship gatherings, youth activities, classes, recreation, meetings, and community functions. Together, these dedicated and flexible-use spaces allow the facility to accommodate both regular weekly programs and larger gatherings as the congregation’s needs evolve.

Accessibility was also an important consideration, with an exterior ramp, clearly defined entrance, and site improvements providing convenient connections between parking areas, walkways, and the church. Clean contemporary forms, broad roof overhangs, stucco, horizontal siding, and restrained detailing give the addition a cohesive architectural character appropriate to the existing property. The completed expansion provides Faith Baptist Church with a practical and versatile environment designed to support its congregation, ministries, and continued service to the Atascadero community.
