This addition/remodel project consisted of approximately 425 square feet of habitable space, 528 square feet of garage, and 640 square feet of patio/deck area upstairs. The existing living space was also remodeled to give an open feeling on the inside with multiple windows for better views and natural light on both levels. A Mediterranean and Italian architectural style was also implemented in the design.

This spacious accessory dwelling unit features numerous amenities in addition to its full kitchen, living room, dining room, den, laundry room, bedroom, and bathroom. Complete with covered entry, ramp, multiple patios, & carport.
Mr. Harcourt was one of a few professionals along with building department officials who attended this training session which addressed the accessibility requirements for remodels under the recently adopted 2013 CBC and the 2010 ADA Standards. (Federal Requirements)
Gary F Harcourt, Architect was among one of forty attendees at the “City of Atascadero Roundtable Event” in an effort to provide new vehicles in which the City of Atascadero could streamline the current building permit process and reduce fees.
